Most of our staff have worked at Millbrook House for many years and are a loyal and happy team who consider the residents as part of their own family. Our commitment to the training, development and conduct of our team ensures a low turnover of staff, which in turn leads to strong and long-lasting relationships between our residents and our team.
Mandatory training for all care staff includes; Moving and Handling, First Aid, Basic Health & Safety, Basic Food Hygiene, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Fire, Infection Control, Mental Capacity Awareness and Dementia Awareness.
In addition, each year an annual appraisal for each team member takes place, to assess the ongoing individual training needs required. We continually drive the training and development of our team, in a quest to exceed the National Standards of recognised qualifications, which are Diploma QCF Care levels 2,3, 4 and 5.
Millbrook House has the appropriate level of Care Staff to meet the care needs of our residents, with additional staffing for Managerial, Administrative, Catering, Laundry and Housekeeping.
At Millbrook house, two members of staff live in and provide a back up to our two daily Night Staff, who are on hand to provide assistance throughout the night for our residents.
