Cuisine and Dining Arrangements

Millbrook House prides itself for the high quality and standard of its cuisine. We have recently refurbished our kitchen and installed a state of the art cooker, which steams ingredients maintaining maximum nutritional content.

Our Residents enjoy a varied and home cooked diet consisting of fresh seasonal produce, which where possible is home grown in our vegetable garden. We proudly support the local butcher, fishmonger and greengrocer. We recognise that food is one of lifes joys.  Eating and hydrating well is even more important later in life, so great care is taken to ensure the necessary nutritional needs are met.

Our head chef introduces himself to all new residents, discussing likes and dislikes and any special dietary requirements. This way we try to ensure that there is always enough choice to tempt our Residents and meet everyone’s culinary expectations.

Our meal times are as follows:

07:00 – EARLY MORNING TEA – Served in your room
08:00 – BREAKFAST – Served in your room
12:45 – TWO COURSE LUNCH – Served in the dining room
18:00 – SUPPER – Served in the dining room
20:00 – EVENING DRINKS – Served in your room upon request

Residents can dine in their rooms if they prefer.
