Millbrook is a large Georgian House which has been sensitively restored and extended to provide every modern amenity that Residents would expect. It is elegantly decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The rooms are close carpeted with the exception of the bathrooms and WCs. Three lifts give easy access to all floors.

Private Bedrooms

We have 29 rooms, all bar two having en-suites.  We are registered with the Care Quality Commission for 33 residents, giving the opportunity for four of our rooms to accommodate couples.

Each bedroom has a fitted wardrobe, dressing table and comfortable divan style bed, although residents are encouraged to bring items of their own furniture if they wish. All bedrooms have a call bell, TV aerial, electrical outlets and private phone line. There is also a lockable safe to secure valuables.  We also have two Parker baths for those who prefer the option of assisted bathing.

Some of our rooms offer particular features such as views of Hambledon Hill and of the garden.  A selection of our larger premier rooms in the new extension have French doors leading on to the gardens.

Receptions rooms

Overall Millbrook House offers a general feeling of grandeur and spaciousness with plenty of opportunity for Residents to enjoy quiet or shared time outside of their own private bedrooms.  The unique feature of all of our reception rooms is that they overlook our beautiful gardens, providing an ever-changing view throughout the seasons.

The Main Hall

With its original panelling is a grand introduction to our home, offering a spacious area in which to meet and greet our visitors.

The Dining Room

A refined room with high ceilings, large inglenook fireplace and views overlooking the beautiful gardens and towards Hambledon Hill.

The Drawing Room

An elegant and spacious room with views across the gardens from the large sash windows. It is home to a large screen television and Sonos music system.  It is a popular meeting place for our residents and benefits from a south-easterly aspect.

The Sun Room

A light and bright double aspect room used for activities.  Many residents like to have a jigsaw puzzle on the go in this room and it is a lovely place to sit comfortably and read. This room is also available for private dining for visiting families and friends.

The Quiet Room

Located in the new extension this double aspect room has large French doors leading onto the terrace and gardens. This room is available for private gatherings.

There are three lifts which gives easy access to all floors for Residents who may find stairs a challenge.
